This one doesn’t read like stone at first. It feels closer to something that hasn’t fully let go of what it was. Jet black runs through it with stark white breaking across the surface, high contrast and unmistakable, like a fossil that refused to blur out over time.
This material formed as palm root began to fossilize but was not fully replaced by silica. Some of the original carbon-rich structure remains, giving it that lighter weight and deeper black tone, while white silica fills other zones and preserves the vascular pattern. That split between what stayed and what changed is what creates the clarity in the pattern. Cut to follow the natural flow and wrapped in hammered copper that lets the structure speak. Only one available.
