🌊 I Got Tired of Saying No... So I Built a New Adventure

Lately I've had a problem.

Not a bad problem... but a problem.

I've been getting more and more messages from people wanting to book private beach experiences.

👉🏻Families.

👉🏻People with kiddos.

👉🏻Couples.

👉🏻Visitors from out of town.

👉🏻People who just want an excuse to wander the beach with me and see what we can find.

And far too often I've had to say:

"Not right now."

The challenge is that my Oregon Coast Geology, Rockhounding & Beachcombing Adventure depends on conditions.

That experience is built around geology, fossils, exposed gravel beds, volcanic features, fault systems, crystal-bearing rocks, and all the fascinating things that become visible when the ocean decides to peel back the sand.

Sometimes the beach is showing off.

Sometimes the beach is wearing a giant blanket of sand.

The interest is there either way.

The geology isn't.

So after saying no way too many times, I finally came up with a solution.

This is a different kind of beach adventure.

Instead of waiting for perfect geology conditions, we'll meet at the beach, talk about safety, what kinds of treasures we might find, and how experienced beachcombers approach the shoreline.

Then we'll head out and see what the coast has for us that day.

The Treasure Hunt is less about geology lectures and more about curiosity, observation, exploration, and adventure.

We'll give it our level best and see what the beach decides to share.

Every beach is different.

Every hunt is different.

And sometimes the best discoveries are the ones you weren't looking for.

For those of you who want the deep dive... the geology, fossils, agates, volcanic vents, fault systems, pyrite crystals, zeolite-bearing rocks, ancient rock layers, Yellowstone hotspot connections, and all the nerdy goodness... that experience is still here.

In fact, I've spent some time refining it and making it even better.

This remains my most in-depth field experience and is only offered when conditions have the potential to expose the geology hidden beneath the sand.

When the coast cooperates, we'll explore far more than beach treasures.

We'll explore the forces that created them.

We'll talk about volcanoes, earthquakes, ancient environments, beach processes, and why one stretch of beach might be loaded with treasures while another remains buried beneath sand.
