At first glance the stone looks like classic moss agate… branching shapes that resemble ferns, lichen, or tiny forests spreading through translucent silica. Look closer and the patterns feel different. The structures bloom outward in soft clustered growth, like a living landscape frozen in stone.
Those green structures are not true dendrites. In this material they are microbialites… mineralized textures formed when ancient microbial communities interacted with silica-rich water as the agate was forming. The result is a stone that looks botanical but was shaped by microscopic life. This cabochon preserves that layered microbial texture and fades into pale translucent agate at the tip with a subtle opalescent glow. Hand wrapped in hammered copper. Only one available.
