At first glance the stone looks like classic moss agate⦠branching shapes that resemble ferns, lichen, or tiny forests spreading through translucent silica. Look closer and the patterns feel different. The structures bloom outward in soft clustered growth, like a living landscape frozen in stone.
Those green structures are not true dendrites. In this material they are microbialites⦠mineralized textures formed when ancient microbial communities interacted with silica-rich water as the agate was forming. The result is a stone that looks botanical but was shaped by microscopic life. This cabochon preserves that layered microbial texture and fades into pale translucent agate at the tip with a subtle opalescent glow. Hand wrapped in hammered copper. Only one available.
