Beryl Family
Beryl is a fairly common mineral, and it is widely found in nature. It is found most commonly in pegmatites, but also occurs in certain schists, and sometimes in limestone. It is only infrequently found in nepheline syenite.
Beryl is often associated with tin and tungsten ore bodies formed as high-temperature hot water veins. Beryl, mined as beryllium ore, is found in deposits in many countries, but the main producers smaller local deposits in Russia, Brazil, and the United States.
