Biggs Jasper forms from volcanic sediments and ash that were later infiltrated and indurated by silica and other minerals. Repeated wetting, regelling, and reprecipitation of silica within fine ash and silt-sized material created shifting redox boundaries and manganese-rich structures. Over time, those internal processes locked in rolling hillscapes and dendritic features. Only one available.
