Pulled from a seam we opened with our own hands, this was one of the first stones to come out of a volcanic scar laced with hot springs and secrets. We call it Jammy Pants Jasper for good reason, we caught our fist claim jumper on the claim in his jammie pants! It has rich ochres tangled with metallic grays and soft agate haze. This one’s not just pretty. It’s a map. Jasper on one end, metallic mystery on the other, fused in a single flash-frozen moment of volcanic heat and water.
This region near Yellowstone is humming with geothermal activity and hydrothermal alteration. What you see here is a geologic conversation—jasper hardened by mineralized fluids, agate formed in voids, and metallic content pushing through the gray zones. It’s like the rock had something to say, and we just caught it in mid-sentence. We slabbed and shaped it ourselves from claim to creation.
