You can see the frostline halfway up—where dark mineral flecks dissolve into a bloom of natural quartz crystals. Like snow creeping up bare stems in early morning cold. It’s a frozen pulse: manganese-soaked agate at the base, delicate druzy across the crest, and banded transitions in between that feel like woodsmoke and fog.
I chose this cab from a small Indonesian batch that’s never been repeated. It came from a single geode, long since cut and gone. While there’s still purple agate being mined in the region, I haven’t seen this again—not with this color clarity or this kind of crystal exposure.
