Circles drift through this stone like quiet targets in pale water. Each bullseye marks the cross section of a silica tube that once carried mineral-rich fluids through the agate. The result is a field of rings suspended in soft translucent chalcedony.
Tube agate forms when silica fills tiny channels or cavities and grows outward in layered chalcedony. When cut across those tubes the stone reveals the round bullseye structures seen here. This cabochon was shaped to keep multiple tube centers visible and wrapped in hammered copper that follows the natural curve of the stone. Only one available.
