Aura Coatings – Iridescence by Design

Aura coatings are manmade, high-vibration finishes created through a vapor deposition process. Fine metals—like gold, silver, platinum, or titanium—are electrostatically bonded to the surface of crystals in a vacuum chamber. The result? A thin but permanent iridescent layer that flashes like oil slicks, beetle wings, or rainbow obsidian.

This coating mimics natural iridescence found in rare stones like chalcopyrite, labradorite, and bornite, but in an intentionally dazzling way. Depending on the metals used, aura-treated stones take on names like Angel Aura, Aqua Aura, Titanium Aura, or Flame Aura.

Though enhanced, the base stones remain real—usually quartz, amethyst, or kyanite—and the aura finish does not come off with handling or wear.
