This Labradorite heart caught two completely different kinds of fire. Across most of the stone, the flash burns warm golden yellow with hints of green, while the bottom edge suddenly drops into vivid electric blue. Dark natural lines cross through the color like a little map drawn inside the feldspar, making the whole thing look beautifully untamed.
Labradoriteās color comes from light interacting with microscopic structures inside the feldspar, producing the optical effect known as labradorescence. This piece has an especially fun contrast... broad warm gold flash across the center with a concentrated band of saturated blue along the bottom.
