This one feels almost architectural. A sharply cut Purple Lace Agate pendant in smoky lavender and soft violet, interrupted by natural little cavities lined with sparkling druzy quartz. The angular shape plays beautifully against the softer internal patterning, giving the whole piece a strange, ancient-artifact quality.
Purple Lace Agate is a variety of chalcedony whose subtle banding and patterning formed through repeated silica deposition. What makes this particular piece especially good are those open druzy pockets... places where the agate left tiny cavities behind and quartz crystals had room to grow. They havenāt been filled or hidden. Theyāre part of the geology, and absolutely part of why I chose this stone.
