This is the rarest form of Spirit Plume Agate I get to work with... the flower form. Instead of larger open plumes, this stone is packed edge to edge with tiny rounded formations in rust, smoky brown, cream and soft pink-red, each outlined by pale chalcedony. Up close, the whole surface becomes a field of miniature mineral flowers. It is wonderfully weird geology in a long, elegant pendant.
Spirit Plume Flower Agate is distinguished by these unusually dense, tightly clustered flower-like structures. The patterns formed within the silica as the material developed, leaving a cross section of countless tiny structures suspended and preserved in agate. I see far less of this material than the other Spirit Plume forms, which is exactly why pieces like this get my attention.
