Grape agate is a trade name for botryoidal purple chalcedony from Indonesia. Those grape-like spheres form as silica precipitates in rounded aggregates, creating the bubbly surface that makes this material so recognizable. This piece gives you both sides of its personality... smooth lavender chalcedony and glittering raw crystal texture.
