This River Jasper is all tiny circles and soft color... dusty pink orbicular patterns packed together with earthy moss green and little pockets of warm ochre. The heart shape catches a particularly beautiful section of the material, with the pattern shifting from tightly clustered pink orbs into darker green areas across the bottom. It feels botanical without pretending to be anything other than a very weird rock doing very pretty things.
The fine circular structures are what make this piece stand out. Rather than broad bands or sweeping color fields, the pattern is built from hundreds of small rounded forms, each outlined in deeper rose and surrounded by subtle variations in pink, cream, green and gold.
