Ancient forest turned stone, wrapped in silver and ready to wear.
This pendant began its life as wood—millions of years ago—before volcanic ash buried it beneath Crook County. Over time, silica-rich fluids replaced the cellular structure, creating what we now call jasper replacement fossil wood: fully indurated cryptocrystalline quartz, still showing traces of its original grain.
The green color? That's celadonite—an iron-rich clay mineral that paints this piece in forest greens and earthy depth. We've left some matrix and natural texture, honoring the way nature leaves her fingerprints behind.
