Unakite
Unakite is a partially metamorphized altered green epidote granite with pink feldspar and clear quartz. Unakite was first documented in the Unaka mountains of North Carolina in the United States. It is about a 6 on the mohs scale of hardness and a great choice for jewelry.
During metamorphism, plagioclase feldspar in the granite is replaced by epidote to produce a rock composed primarily of green epidote, pink orthoclase, and quartz.
